Rice Harvest Festival 2025

Come and enjoy to the fullest at the rice harvest festival in La Ràpita!
On Sunday, September 7th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Plegadis Foundation will become the perfect setting to experience one of the most deeply rooted traditions of our land: the traditional rice harvest.

This event offers a unique opportunity to see and learn how farmers, sleeves rolled up, used to harvest rice by hand, following methods passed down from generation to generation. Harvesting is more than just work; it’s a celebration of the effort and dedication that the land demands.

You’ll also find the bird ringing study, a visit to the Classroom to learn about current environmental projects, and the Noctua project to observe scops owls and other nocturnal birds of prey.
We look forward to celebrating with you!

Includes:

-Demonstration of traditional rice harvesting by farmers.
-Active participation in the harvest, entering the field and following the guidance of experienced farmers.
