Rice Harvest Festival 2024

Come and enjoy the 2024 Rice Harvest Festival in La Ràpita!
On Saturday, September 14th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Fundació Plegadis becomes the perfect setting to immerse yourself in one of our land’s deepest-rooted traditions: the traditional rice harvest.

This event offers you the unique opportunity to see and learn how farmers, with their sleeves rolled up, used to harvest rice by hand, following methods passed down through generations. Harvesting is more than just a job; it’s a celebration of the effort and dedication that the land demands, and on Saturday the 14th, you can be a part of it.

Additionally, the day includes a variety of activities for the whole family. Explore bird banding studies, visit the Aula to learn about ongoing environmental projects, and participate in the Noctua project to observe owls and other nocturnal birds of prey. Experience a unique event that combines tradition, nature, and learning in a stunning environment.

We look forward to celebrating together!
